How this directory is compiled
Company entries are built from publicly available sources: industry buyers’ guides, company websites and business databases. Companies are listed without being asked, which is how photonics buyers’ guides have always worked — but it means we owe you a straightforward way out.
Corrections and removals are free, unconditional and need no reason. Email us and we’ll act, usually within a few days. See privacy.
How we make money — and how we don’t
Nothing on this site is paid placement. A company’s position in any list is determined by relevance and how complete its data is, never by payment. We don’t run advertising, and we don’t take commission on anything you buy.
Being listed is free, and we never invoice anyone who hasn’t bought something. We may in future offer paid services — an enhanced profile, lead delivery, market data — but those are things you would actively choose and agree a price for. We do not send invoices for unordered listings, we do not use “confirm your entry” or “correct your details” forms that create a contract, and we do not use multi-year auto-renewing terms.
If you receive an invoice or a contract you did not knowingly agree to, claiming to be from Photonics Map, it is not us — please forward it to joan@ogunforge.com so we can warn others.

Technical figures in our guides are typical commercial ranges compiled from cited published sources, intended to narrow a search — not to specify or design from. Always work from the supplier’s datasheet. Full detail in the terms.
