What this site is

Photonics Map is a directory of photonics and laser suppliers, with written guides to the technologies they sell. It is free to browse and free to be listed in. We don’t sell the products listed and we don’t take commission on anything you buy. Ranking within a list is determined by relevance and data completeness — if we ever show something because it was paid for, it will be labelled as such.

The technical information — please read this one

The guides state typical specification ranges to help you narrow a search. They are written from published sources, which we cite, and they describe what is commercially common — not the limits of physics, and not any particular product.

Do not design, specify, or purchase from these figures. Always work from the supplier’s own datasheet, and have them run your actual material or sample. Where sources disagree we say so, and where we couldn’t verify something we leave it out rather than guess — but the responsibility for a purchasing or engineering decision is yours.

Laser equipment is dangerous. Nothing here is safety guidance.

Company information

Listings are compiled from public sources and will contain errors and gaps. A listing is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a statement that a company is trading, solvent, or suitable for your work. Check anything that matters directly with the company.

If your company is listed and you want it corrected or removed, see privacy. It’s free and there are no conditions.

Using our content

Read it, quote it, link to it — please do. If you quote a guide or a table, attribute it to Photonics Map and link back. What we ask you not to do is scrape the directory wholesale to republish it as your own, or hammer the site with automated requests.

Company names, logos and trade marks belong to their owners and appear here for identification.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. We can’t promise it will be available, complete, or free of errors, and to the extent the law allows we’re not liable for losses arising from relying on it — including any decision to contact, buy from, or not buy from a listed company.
